Personal Brand

Although accounting professionals follow the same accounting standards and understand the same basic rules, different people still have their different personal brands. Based on the material on personal branding presented in the week2 seminal, after comparing the three accounting profiles posted on LinkedIn, some differences and similarities have been found and discussed. The three professionals to be compared are PS, CM and JC. From looking at their personal brandings, we can find the similarities. For example, all the three professionals are graduated from great universities and they are CPA qualified accountants. Also, they all create their personal brand of great English level and accounting professional level. Different accounting and finance working experience are also be added by them. At the same time, they have some differences between their personal profiles. First, they have the different culture background. PS have studied and worked in UK for a long time, CM comes from Indonesia and JC comes from China. The different background culture will create different personal brands in relation to language, values, political system or religion. In this example, JC presents that she is good at English and Chinese. And since PS has worked in UK for a long time, he must be familiar with UK’s political system and legal system. The second difference is the working experience, PS has more leadership experience compared with CM and JC. And they also creates different personalities brands.
