Apple driven was to bring an easy-to-use computer to market, driven by innovation, it sparked a computing revolution rapidly increased the PC industry to $1 billion in annual sales in less than three years. Apple establishes the retail strategy by expending the retail division to more than 280 stores in 10 countries by 2009. The "new to Mac" customers was generate half of all retail Mac sales and account for 16% of Apple's total revenue. At the same year, they establish Apple's App Store was the first outlet that made it easy to distribute, access, and download applications directly onto the mobile phone. Customers could downloaded apps onto their iPhones over the network or download them to their PC. Apple reserved the right to approve all applications before they went on sale, and kept a 30% cut of the developer's app sales.
