  1. Among the aspiring president, choose at least one of the candidate and assess his corporate governance and public governance.

  1. 'Governance demands competence with integrity'

Mr. Manuel V. Pangilinan has been widely recognized for his outstanding career that spans business, academe, charitable, non-government, arts and culture, sports and health organizations.

  1. Being the shareholder. As one of the shareholder, they oversees the corporate governance framework established to enable the Company to conduct its business in order to foster long term success, sustain competitiveness and create value for its stakeholders. They affirm that adherence to high standards of performance, anchored on genuine good governance is what sets apart truly world class companies from the rest.
  2. Being the Board of Director. Being one of the Board of Director of the PLDT they provide leadership in PLDT’s governance. They strive to keep their board informed, empowered and involved. Heretofore, effective governance by a board has been relatively rare—directors being, more often than not, internal folks, or friendlies, or high-powered but nameplate individuals engaged in low-level board participation. Active and working board committees also help the proactive and effective performance of the board.
  3. Being in the Management. 1. Corporate Governance is the system of rules, practices and processes by which a company is directed and controlled.

Rodrigo "Rody" Roa Duterte is a Filipino lawyer and politician of Visayan descent.    Duterte is among the longest-serving mayors in the Philippines.  Duterte’s boastful brand of violent impunity should be a path to prosecution, not a platform for political office. Until the government adopts a zero tolerance attitude toward public officials who publicly endorse extrajudicial killings as an acceptable approach to governance, Duterte and others like him will pose a grave danger to the safety of the citizens they are elected to protect. Unlike many politicians, Duterte is forthright and plain speaking. In 2009 he said: "If you are doing an illegal activity in my city, if you are a criminal or part of a syndicate that preys on the innocent people of the city, for as long as I am the mayor, you are a legitimate target of assassination." The Corporate governance of Duterte when it comes to his City which is Davao is that he passed different laws that his community should follow such as: he imposed a prohibition on selling, serving, drinking and consuming alcoholic beverages from 01:00 until 08:00 each morning, reducing the speed limits for all kinds of motor vehicles within the territorial jurisdiction of Davao City in the interest of public safety and order, he also ordered all shopping malls and commercial centers to install, operate and maintain high end and high definition closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras at all entrance and exit points of their premises, he imposed an order creating the implementing of rules and regulations for the new comprehensive anti-smoking etc. Duterte has been a good leader in his province and he try to do it in our whole country.
