Introduction

In today's complex society and organization, problem situation describes by Russ Ackoff as ‘messes', (cited in Jackson, Michael C., 2011) this is then taken as a study material to explore more about the system. In every organization, each individual has different interpretations of the problem situation. The way people act and interact is a consequence of those interpretations.

As stated by Chapman (2004), the organization structure is moving towards a more complicated and complex working environment, therefore, by applying system thinking accommodated the real conflicting matter.

Holwell (1997) stated in between 1972 and 1990 discover four different perceptions of Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) and argued that these "show how methodology has become less structured and broader as it developed" (p. 450)

Main Body

My career background was worked as a Financial Analyst in an American multinational information technology corporation, Hewlett Packard. The company sells computer software, hardware and provide IT services. My job scope is supporting month end close activities, reporting, analysis work, and extracting reports. Reports are derived from various sources of systems, it is essential to ensure the reported amount is accurate and correct.

A multinational company is always well-known of their complex system architecture. For example the systems that I often use are SAP, SWAN, Eiffel, Sabre-d, Platform One, and Eclipse. Different type of transactions have its own unique systems in place, hence each data is performed by each specialist individual across the world.
