NARRATIVE REPORT

The major sectors of our national economy are the business enterprises. It includes the small, medium and large scale industries that are important source of livelihood for everyone. Being a student of Business Administration (Major in Marketing), who is preparing for a bright future ahead, I know the importance of formal education to acquire enough knowledge and skills. Likewise, a lot of reading and researching helps me understand the lesson. Another good thing about studying the course I have chosen is the subject matter about “Sales Management” wherein we were given a quota worth Php 10, 000.00 sales for a product line of our choice. I selected to sell the products of Avon and Natasha at Php 5, 000.00 each. It is a great challenge for me to start practicing what was learned. During the period of selling the products, I observed the following;

•Considering majority are beauty care and good grooming products, it appeals to all ages and greater number of customers

•Many clients are interested to the promotional strategies of both companies like discounts and special offers such as buy one- take one, privilege buy, volume offers, super earners and products on sale

•The lay-out including the product endorsers and the over-all presentation of the brochures/flyers attract the buying public

•Majority of the customers are educated enough which is shown on their way of choosing the products, there is always a great consideration of the unit cost, however, and many are equally considering the benefits

•Some consumers belonging to middle class with fixed income prefer the product line of both companies because of easier terms of payment

•Consumers with no fixed income also prefer the products of both companies with low or discounted cost
