Read this First .Welcome to the Assignments section of the Blackboard Student Orientation Course. This section was designed to allow you to get familiar with Blackboard vocabulary, college policies, your Blackboard course environment, how to communicate with your instructor, working with various file types, and finally get some hands on practice using different tools in Blackboard. It covers a broad range of tools used by instructors and is designed to help prepare you for using them no matter which course you take at WHCCD.
Here is a bulleted list of tasks to complete in this section.
•First, open the folder and review the "Common Terms in Blackboard". This will be helpful in your understanding of the terminology used for online classes.
•Next, review the WHCCD Academic Honesty Policy, then click the Mark Reviewed link.
•Continue by reviewing the WHCCD Computer and Network Use policy, then click the Mark Reviewed link.
•Review the folder on Communicating with your Instructor.
•Click into the Course Environment folder, review the videos and handouts provided.
