Ethical questions raised by this article (Summary): Should I help an unjustly fired co-worker if it can hurt to company where I work and to my own relationship with company management?

My first reaction to the ethical issues raised by this article: We can’t help to this young employee because we have the obligation which named corporate secret. It is impossible to us  do something which can hurt not just us, also whole company with all our co-workers.

Someone taking the opposite point of view might say this: It's the fault of the man who fired this employee, also it is the fault of the company, because they allow him to do this. So we should tell the truth to lawyer, because it restores justice and helps to good employee save his career.

What I think after considering these issues further and why I think the way I do: We are  still thinking that we can’t go against the interests of the company where we work, but we should do something to prevent a repetition of this situation. The reason of our decision is the incompetence and irresponsibility of our colleague, which hired this guy. Feeling impunity, he and the head covering him can not only repeat, but also exacerbate their behavior. It can hurt companies more than a guy's suit.

One connection I can make between this article and something else I know about (whether from personal experience, school, a book I’ve read, a movie I’ve seen or anything else): Our aunt worked as a surgeon in a hospital. Sometimes told about the cases when her colleagues were not right. But because of she was educated in the Soviet Union, so she adhered to the principles of officer ethics. Then all the doctors must also receive military training. So in front of the patient she was obliged not to contradict the attending physician. One colleague regularly made the same mistake: he was too careful to bandage patients, so it took him several times longer than others. In addition, he used too many antibiotics. This resulted in a loss of time with other patients and poor wound healing in these patients. He had the highest mortality rates, but the head of hospital could not find an error in his actions. Colleagues report to the head about the problem to save the patients.

Suggest some Ethical Solutions regarding the issue: We should firstly go to the company's superiors, report about the situation and ask them to influence our colleagues and her supervisor. Otherwise we will accept the side of the dismissed employee.
