  1. Introduction

Nescafe hub is located at SBM building. This small shop is temporarily to be opened. Many kinds of coffees tastes are sold in small shop. We chose this shop to be observed to know about the strategies used to attract customers.

In doing our observation, we tried to buy one iced coffee to see how they served and what kind of promotions they made in selling their products. There are some types of flavors of coffee and served in iced or hot as what customers ordered.

  1. Strategies management

There are many strategies they made in selling their products. We classified the strategies based on 4Ps which consists of Price, Product, Place, and Promotion.

The price offered is cheap which is at the range of RM 1 to RM 2 per cup of coffee, which is depend on the order. This price is very affordable for every people in UUM especially the students.

The Product is very interesting since there’s no coffee outlet nearby. The product that offered is fully served, because as known that Nescafe product available before are in sachet and can. This is new for customers to receive the coffee with the new packaging and hand-able to bring it everywhere.

Based on the Place location, this small shop is easy to be found. There’s no coffee shop nearby, so it can be the choice of customers to buy in this shop.

In terms of Promotion, there is a lot of promotions made to attract the customers. There are three main things as we observed that they offered which are Redeem card, Mini game, and souvenirs. The redeem card with the price of RM 5 can be redeemed by customers in the next buying with special offer which is the free ticket of Movie night, the customers will be freely to choose the movie they want to watch. The second promotion strategy is the mini games that put in the table so that the customers who wait the order or enjoying their coffee can spend their time by playing the games. The next strategy is giving souvenirs that interesting by fulfilling the certain terms and conditions.
