Introduction:

“Companies from the same sector performs in similar way”

This assignment is for finding the fact whether companies in the same sector performs in a similar way or not. In order to find this we have to use ANOVA test and also Tukey test so see their variances in performance.

I have selected four companies Sony, Motorola, Nokia and Apple. All four companies belong to same sector of mobile electronics. I have taken their closing stocks till date to check their variances.

Analysis:

  1. Hypothesis to be tested.

I have tested the hypothesis in which it was found that F calculated is larger than the f critical value and hence forth the null hypothesis will be rejected. (To test hypothesis, Anova testing is used.)

  1. Sector selected.

I have taken the Mobile Electronics Sector.

  1. Companies Selected.

I have taken 4 companies i.e., Sony, Motorola, Nokia, Apple.
