Individual Reflection
A stakeholder would be any person, group, or organization will or will have influences in any actions that you take to achieve your goals. Stakeholders can be in or out of the workplace, have positive or negative interest, some may have concerns about your actions and these concerns will have a negative impact, and others who receive a profit from your actions will have a positive effect on you succeeding. (Applegate 2008)
In order to get the stakeholders interest, you must devise an action plan that will interest the stakeholders. To put the plan into action, you have to decide who will be involved, what communication should be drafted, what can happen to help or hinder the plan. (Applegate 2008)
The strengths that you want in a team are persistent, determined, assertive, and action oriented. What you do not want is a team that is too pushy, expressing frustration readily when others do not move quickly enough for their liking, overselling their ideas, and you definitely do not want anyone who is not going to contribute. (Applegate 2008)
Now we have to decide on a new idea to launch, identify key milestones, and a timeframe when it has to done.
I have been working for the last 6 years to finish my schooling that I could not finish for the fact that I chose to drop out and have a family. Now that they are grown, I have made it a plan to get my degrees. I did succeed in receiving my Associate Degree, and my Bachelor Degree. I am now working on getting my MBA. After that, I may just keep going and get a Doctorate, which I plan to have by 2021.
The stakeholder analysis tool will be used list the stakeholders and their interest in the idea.
Stakeholder | Interests/Expectations +/positive -/negative | Importance 1-low 2-medium 3-high |
Husband | + Supports any decision I make, and is behind me 100% in everything I do + Always pushes me to do my best +Keeps the house quiet for my studies | 3 |
Aunt | + Has been my mentor since I was born + Gives 100% approval and praise +Behind me in all my choices | 3 |
(Applegate 2008)
What is important to my husband is that I pursue my goals in my education. He is the one who pushed me to go back to school; he wants me to get my degrees so I can open a business. I have always wanted my own little office or to work for a firm. I would just like to use my knowledge to help people.
