The report which follows contains the talent management practices being followed by two of India’s leading telecom companies and a comparative analysis on the same.
The telecom industry especially the mobile usage has been increasing rapidly since the advent of the new millennium. Telecom service providers form the most important part of this industry and have to cater to the needs of a burgeoning population. The top 2 telecom service providers have a combined subscriber base of 433 million highlighting their importance in the lives of people. The ushering in of new age technology and smartphones has further penetrated the reach of mobile telephony and has been a boon to the population. The telecom service providers are the most important link to make voices and data reach their intended destination
The huge reach thus shows the need of properly trained, behaved and quality professionals in order to increase their market reach and deliver a better service. Talent Management is very essential to engage the employees at all levels of hierarchy in a more productive manner.
