Subway Products

Subway's main products in Malaysia are Italian B.M.T., Roasted Chicken, Tuna, Meatball Marinara and Chicken Teriyaki. In addition to these, they also sell wraps, salad and baked goods such as cookies. But for this assignment my focus will mainly be on one of their products, which is the Subway Chicken Teriyaki meal. It consist Subway Chicken Teriyaki sandwich, a drink and a cookie.

The Subway Chicken Teriyaki sandwich, is made up bread which the customer selects own his or her own or the customer’s selection will be based on the advice provided by the sandwich artist, the selection of bread are Hearty bread, Wheat bread, Honey Oat, Italian bread, and Parmesan Oregano. It also contains the delicious Teriyaki chicken, cheese, different kinds of delectable vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoes, olives, green pepper, red onions and cucumber slices.The meal also comes with a self service drink of the customer’s choice which can be Coca Cola, Fanta, Heaven and Earth, Sprite and Acquarus.

With a product like chicken teriyaki sandwich, company’s strength lies in their ability to provide an interactive customer service this is done by giving the customers the opportunity to select what goes into to their chicken teriyaki sandwich and what does not, which means that there is no external failure cost, which helps to enhance the quality of their food and thereby enhance the customer satisfaction by also reducing the chances that the customers will reject the food, thus building a good reputation of a company that has the ability to properly interact with their customers, thus helping to lower uncertainties and thereby improve in the long term profitability of Subway.
