By designing a supply chain that is going to be the most exact for the company. For this the company has to develop a supply chain network and they should also be able to identify the levels of services that are required for an efficient supply chain.
STEP-2
Making the supply chain more effective. For this the company should find out the best way to connect the suppliers to the end customers.
STEP-3
Material flow planning. For this the company should know the flow and the timing at which the materials are available. Through this process the overall productivity of the company can be increased. The main idea behind reducing material flow cost means reducing he overall production cost.
STEP-4
By transaction processing and short term scheduling. Customers demand fluctuates. It’s uncertain. It depends on various tangible and intangible factors. This is a day-to-day accounting system which tracks and schedules every order to meet customer demand. To meet the customers demand its necessary for the company to be flexible with its supply chain to produce various quantity demanded by the customers.
The main goals of supply chain management is to reduce stock of materials as it increases cost for storage and managing the raw materials and finishing goods, to reduce the number of activities in the supply chain to produce goods by combining activities or finding most effective and efficient way of carrying out these activities which will lead to reduction of cost for production in turn more profits, making the supply chain more flexible for different quantities and different variants of product, managing the suppliers and the end customer sale in order to make it more responsive and efficient and add value to the product.
