Sustainability
It is my personal opinion that sustainability within today’s environment is essential to most organizations as various entities seek methods to ensure longevity while reducing potential impacts on the earth. As of recently the United States Government has emphasized their concern for the environment and encouraged alternative resources to conduct our daily business without having such an impact on the planet. As consumers we often do not take into consideration the processes of using electricity in our homes or the damage of our car exhaust when we move about. While each individual consumer may not be aware of the implications associated with their daily lives in terms of energy and resources, several companies have become more conscientious and are creating products that are progressing towards a more sustainable environment for both the organization and the earth. If one were to recollect a few decades back you could quickly identify and relate to several products and services that were utilized as a means of business that was harming the earth. However, since the World Wide Web implementation there have been several changes regarding how people conduct business in today’s modern world.
The purpose of this document is to discuss the concept of sustainability as it pertains to today’s environment. During the duration of this document I will identify three entrepreneurs who are building businesses concurrent with sustainability and a clean commerce. I will also expand on rather my business idea supports sustainability. Upon the conclusion of this document the reader will have a brief overview regarding the aforementioned topics and how businesses are able to sustain in today’s market while mitigating the impacts their organizations have on the earth.
Importance of Sustainability in Today’s Market
Having the ability to provide a quality product that is eco friendly in today’s market likely makes all the difference on how far an organization is able to accelerate as consumers have become more aware of the impacts certain products have on the earth. This is more evident in today’s industry as we are seeing more uses and demands for solar energy, cars that use les gas, and other alternatives to mitigate consumer usages of harmful products that impact the earth. While organizations biggest concerns one have been to increase their profit margins they have also grown conscious of the impacts that their products have on the environment and have worked diligently to make changes to reduce the use of toxic products. We are beginning to see more reusable and renewable products and even some natural resources to accommodate the growing population.
