Weaknesses

  • A significant number of stores are old and hence need to remodel and rebuild
  • Due to heavy taxes the demand of products has fallen

Opportunities

  • Financial favorability is a wellspring of enhancing consumer and consumption sector
  • Their target is to open more stores closer  to rural areas to gain more popularity over their competitors

  • Recession in Colombia’s economic standpoint could restrict conceivable the development of the retail segment
  • Due to the opening of similar shops like “los dibujantes” and “Papelería El Cid”, Panamericana might lose a huge amount of customers
  • Decades of violence restrained  the domestic sector to grow
