Abstract
This report study Penfolds winery and Barossa regions. Barrossa region terroir condition and local winery service exert the effect on the local wine industry, economy development and wine culture spreading. Otherwise, the perceiving of winery gradually increases and wine industry are more acceptable. Wine enthusiasts and winery visitors realize the wine region is also important.
Introduction
Penfolds winery is one of Australian oldest wineries, which is located at South Australia. Moreover, when one talks of Penfolds, one must talk the Barossa Valley, arguably the nation’s foremost wine production region which is one of Penfolds Vineyards and it is a remarkable place when select a vineyard site because the terroir of Barossa is spotless(Robert M., 1985). Barossa provide many formidable groups of wine makers: a numbers of Australian vintners have, also vineyards and wineries in this region forex ample Jacob’s Creek and Peter Lehmann, besides there is reason to explain why so many famous wineries sitting at Barossa, owing to the good condition for plant vine. (Robert M., 1985) Not only Barossa Valley has superior nature conditions, also the completive service system is an important reason that why those wineries are well known in Australia even in the world. Barossa Valley is located in South Australia and just 70 kilometers far away form northeast of the city of Adelaide. Barossa is highest point in Mount Lofty Ranger at the towns of Angaton and Kyneton(Robert M. 1985). Due to these advantageous conditions, Barossa seizes opportunities to local market. Owning to long history of vineyards and good quality’s wine precipitate Barossa becoming a famous resort for travel. Percentage of income by vineyards is increasing to a new historical point. Daily life of local residents is influenced by wineries and thought wine already flowing in their life like blood flowing in body. Wine is a symbol for people who live in Barossa. Every year Barossa Valley hosts wine festival and many other theme activities to improve popularity and attract people to visit, therefore Barossa develop gradually to a world wild famous vineyard valley. ( Blair R.J., Sas A.N., Hayes P.F., 1998) In this report, it will discuss the terroir of Barossa Valley and factors of market for the local wineries. In addition, it will illustrate the reason why Penfolds winery can success especially in Barossa Valley. Meanwhile, it will discuss about market for other wineries and service in this region.
