Ans: The Walt Disney Company, together with its subsidiaries, is a diversified worldwide entertainment company with operations in five business segments: Media Networks, Parks and Resorts, Studio Entertainment, Consumer Products and Interactive.
b What do you know about its organizational structure?
Ans: The Walt Disney Company consists of a number of sections catering to majorly 5 business segments namely, Media Networks, Parks and Resorts, Studio Entertainment, Consumer Products and Interactive. Each of these five segments comprise of a number of sub categories, for example, the Media Networks segment includes cable and broadcast television networks, television production operations, television distribution, domestic television stations and radio networks and stations whereas, the Company owns and operates the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida; the Disneyland Resort in California; Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii; the Disney Vacation Club; the Disney Cruise Line; and Adventures by Disney.

Ans: Yes I would recommend investing in the Disney organization considering the increasing numbers of revenue and net incomes.
e How do you feel about the organization’s short-term and long-term outlooks?
Ans: I think the company has a bright future considering the wide variety of categories and the numbers mentioned in the financial statements. Short-term outlooks may not seem very promising, but the long term gains are more confident.
f What portions of the financial statements did you find most difficult to understand? Which were most clear?
Ans: The most difficult part of the statement was mapping the different categories of the company and to understand all of the sections. I think the financial data mentioned in the statement was most self-explanatory.
