What it takes to be a teacher?
Objectives:
- Teachers should be able to identify characteristics of a good teacher
- Outline student-centered teaching and learning methods
- Create and apply appropriate teaching methods used in a lesson

What is teaching?
Teaching:
- Motivate students to learn in a manner that is relevant, meaningful and memorable
- Passion to convey craft/skills to others, most especially to students
- Bridging the gap between theory and practice
- Immersing oneself in the field, talking to, consulting with and assisting practitioners and responsibility with their communities.
What it takes to be a good teacher?
Good teacher:
- Enthusiastic/eager
- Prepared
- Punctual
- Patient
- Supportive and shows concern for students
- Consistent
- Polite
- Firm and authoritative
- Humble and fair
- Creative
- Has sense of humor
- Keep accurate records of work completed, attendance, test results and student’s grades.
