Abstract

Guardian 1000 is a new smart toy created by SHIELD, a young startup company based at Ho Chi Minh city, Viet Nam. Guardian 1000 has been equipped by unique features such as live-streaming, direct-communication, body temperature watcher and safety check. A side with unique features providing, hand-made and eco-friendly are big strengths of Guardian 1000, not only provide high quality and unique product, using reusable material help Guardian 1000 brings down upgrade costs. More than that, based Viet Nam brings Guardian 1000 price-advantages again US based which will help Guardian 1000 to step into the market easier. In another hand, new branding is a big weakness of Guardian 1000, but with suitable marketing plan as well as promotion program such as 30-day-money-back guaranteed, it should not be a big problem. Smart toy market is proven that it is billions markets but it also still is in very early state, that is the reason why we do not have much competitors. It is an unique opportunity for Guardian 1000 to become the market leader since Guardian 1000 is the first smart toy on the market which provides “communication” as well as “protection” values to customers. In fact every profitable market will attract a lot of competitors and smart toy cannot be an exception. Because of that, the increasing of competitors as well as pricing-war from competitors will be the biggest threads Guardian 1000 has to face. Targeted to US market, Guardian 1000 has to face with strong competitors such as Smart Toy from Fisher-Prices or Skylanders from Activision. By providing not only entertainment and education values but also enriching communication and providing the protection values puts Guardian 1000 into very position in the competition against other smart toys such as Smart Toy or Skylanders. As a conclusion, with all unique values as well as market advantages, Guardian 1000 will become a big hit and a solid foundation for SHIELD in smart toy industry.
