The organization I am familiar with is Costco. I have a lot of knowledge when it comes to this company because I shop there at least one’s per week with my wife. I like the fact that everything is sold in bulk and you save a lot of money in long run. Of course you get this monthly coupon in which you get an advance notice on which particular product is on sale for that incoming month. This is where the first element is used by them selecting a list of different items in a variety of categories such as deli, meat department, pharmacy, clothing and electronics is no wonder why they are top organization next to their competitors such as Wal-Mart or BJ’s. As you can see promotion is an important element in marketing without it you can get customers to come in to your store. There is a lot of competition that has the same products out there being sold but if you market that product in a way that keeps clients coming back then your business will stay afloat. One way of doing that is by placing banners or big neon signs outside your business. Also television ads of course it’s really expensive but you can add ads in newspapers without the hassle of spending too much. Costco uses a lot of promotions with their tires in the auto department which generate lot of revenue. I am example of it because I bought tires there and while then put in the store I was shopping through the store with my wife. I had about two hours of shopping and by the time I was done the car that was being service was done too. My point is that they market the auto department so that customers buy their products while they shop in the store.
