Why Malaysia government should implement electric energy consumption in term of transportation.
Electric energy consumption is the form of energy consumption that uses electric energy. Electric energy consumption is the actual energy demand made on existing electricity supply. There have so many benefit if Malaysia country implement electricity energy as a vehicle fuel. Currently, more than 80 percent of primary energy consumption is based on fossil fuel and the demand is stay high and is supposed continually grow in the future even if the technology development eventually able to reduce specific consumption, world energy demand is likely to increase in line with its population. Transportation sector also accounts for a substantial amount of air pollution in cities and contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions. As we all know, transportation sector also one of the main of human activities around the world by using energy like fossil fuel it will lead to negative impact on the society living environment. So, to solve the environmental problem that caused by transportation sector, here got several suggestion why Malaysia government should shift energy consumption from use fossil fuel to electricity as vehicle fuel. Here got several benefit and considerations of electricity as a vehicles fuel. For our information’s, hybrid and plug-in electric vehicles can help increase of energy security, improve fuel economy, lower fuel costs, and reduce emissions.
Energy security.
Statistic shows in U.S, in 2003 they imported about 33 percent of petroleum it consumed and transportation was responsible for nearly three quarters of total U.S petroleum consumption. With much of worlds petroleum reserves located in politically volatile countries, the United States is vulnerable to price spikes and supply disruptions. Using hybrid and plug-in electric energy instead of conventional vehicles can help reduce U.S reliance on imported petroleum and increase energy security. Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) typically use less fuel than similar conventional vehicles, because they employ electric-drive technologies to boost efficiency. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and all-electric vehicles (EVs) are both capable of using off-bard sources of electricity, and almost all U.S electricity is produced from domestic coal, nuclear energy, natural gas and renewable gas. So, by this we can take United States as an example and use electricity energy to help increases of energy security in Malaysia.
Fuel Economy.
Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) typically achieve better fuel economy and have lower fuel costs than similar conventional vehicles. For example, the 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid has an EPA combined city and highway fuel economy estimate of 44 miles per gallon, while the estimate for conventional 2012 Civic (four cylinder, automatic)
