Much evidences today, points to the fact that many people in our society has become addictive to their cell phones and because of that addiction have come a slew of problems. Many of these problems brings harm to ourselves as well as others.
Can you remember the last time you were on the bus or train and could hear yourself think because of someone talking so loud on their cellphone and how about those who are just walking the streets not paying any attention to where they are going? On many occasions these ones are walking into others as well as getting hit by cars from straying into the streets, how about those who are behind the wheel. According to a 2002 study by the few internet and American Life Project, we have seen a large increase in deaths in car accidents, due from cellphone use while driving and yes cellphone use have put so many lives at risk.
Aren’t all those things a sign of addiction, doing things that are dangerous to us and others? David Greenfield, a psychologist who is an expert on internet-related behaviors, says he predicted a decade ago that people would become ultra-dependent on mobile devices. Many people continue to act carelessly, putting their life in endanger and that of other as well, all of this behavior points to an addiction.
so, with so many dangers that are related to improper cellphone use, one may ask the question, is all this conversation? And testing necessary. With all these issues at hand one would have to say do we need all of this cellphone use or would we have to come to the conclusion that is an addiction for so many.
