‘To what extent do you agree that corporate social responsibility pays off among stakeholders? Support your arguments with appropriate organizational examples."

Introduction

Corporate social responsibility has been widely approved that because it plays a significant role to help the companies build up a thermal image of their business and bring benefits regarding risk management, cost savings, access to capital, customer relationships, human resource management, and innovation capacity. (Oberseder et.al.,2011) According to Du et.al (2015), CSR can act as a navigator to lead the company develop the new markets and create real opportunities for growth. In other words, CSR is a strategic approach that important to a company's competitiveness contemporarily.

From the perspective of a company, stakeholders include customers, employees, suppliers, a board of directors, owners, government, non-governments, the media, and others. The objective of this essay is going to describe the relationship between the enterprise and stakeholders under CSR and analysis the adverse effect of this strategy.

It seems that there are many companies starts to carry out with the CSR on society in the world. These company realized the importance of CSR and were willing to pay actions on this issue to give a positive effect on the society also create shared value of their business.

However, on the other hand, some of these company focused on protecting their interest and ignore the interest of others interest. For example, the interest of the customer. Therefore, in this essay, the problem of current CSR concept will be discussion deeply and also analysis that how can a company increase the effectiveness of CSR based on the organizational experience and supported by case studies.

This paper will be divided into different parts. The first part will define the base concept of Corporate Social responsibility and indicate the key viewpoint. Second, the effectiveness of CSR will be analyzed with the real case study result. Last but not least, suggestion and conclusion base on the research findings will be presented.

Corporate social responsibility

In the business world, the different company has their definitions of CSR, but for a most company we will discussion in these paper, share the same definition of CSR that is a business process for the business to operate an overall positive influence on society. The impact on society includes marketplace, workplace, environment and also the community. (Dahlsrud,2008)

Nowadays, CSR has become more mainstream because more and more forward-thinking companies make sustainability become one of their business operations to face the competitiveness and create shared value for society。Davis(1973) advocated that CSR is one of the way to improve the finances of the company and also help the business to build a positive image in the society through aware the social challenges and problems. When the company stepped up their CSR activities, they need the community and take care of the plight of the community. Some of the company may only limit the benefits on some of the stakeholders and ignore other communities surrounding.
