Balance: is known as visual weight of the page which is divided evenly between elements in a picture to attract viewer's attention (Colli, 2010).

For example:

Picture 1 is reached symmetrical balance because element is arrange similarly at different proportion in a picture. It is easy to understand what designer would like to convey to viewers

Picture 2: there is no balance between elements, the page give too much information. It makes viewers feel uncomfortable when reading.

White space: is space between elements in a picture such as words, letters, images, or caption (Boulton, 2007).

Graphic 1: there is large white space in graphics, its purpose is to lend to viewer's eye into the blue person at different proportion, it creates link from blue person with chip to person with healthy food. Besides that, information is split three part that help viewers is easy to see information.

Graphic 2: the white space used between font size seems not create much effect to customers, for example; "hot deal" statement is put so close to "plus get 10%" statement, this create confusing for customer for the first time when taking a look at advertising paper.

Contrast: is design principle which relates to different elements in design. It can be colour, font side, texture, alignment, movement, shape, value (Kirnin).

Example 1: contrast in the graphic is represented by different font size, and colour. Firstly, different font size (large and small) and font colour (black and yellow) make viewers pay attention into important information. In addition, the contrast colour in meals (yellow and green dish) is also indicated important factor which green is related healthy and clean food and yellow which refers to hot and unhealthy food. Moreover, big blue person is also contrast thin blue
