In recent years, people all over the world are more and more interested in learning the language and the culture of German. The most prominent phenomenon is that people regard German as a kind of scientific language. That is best shown on a large amount of college students and technical workers are learning German. German as a kind of international trade language is widely used in many Germany well-known enterprises, especially cars and electric enterprises, such as Volkswagen, Siemens and so on. Expansion on a global scale in the business class of these enterprises also makes German well recognized and accepted. And as the world’s most widely used language, English has always been the most important courses in our students. In the process, it is easy to find many German words and English words are similar. This is because they are the homologous words which derived from the Indo-European Germanic Languages. Most of the German words or roots are exactly the same or similar as English words like the statistics shown. At the same time, with the further development of globalization, the deepening of international politic and economic cooperation, as well as the rapid progress in the field of communications, information systems, there will be more and more English loanwords are introduced to German to make a lot of influence on every social field.

As we all know, English and German are two important languages in the world today. According to the statistics, the number of people who speak English has reached more than three hundred and twenty million, and nearly about hundreds of people are learning English. Meanwhile, there are about one hundred and thirty million people speaking German, especially since the two German had reunified. Nowadays, Germany has a strong power to handle its important status so that it attracts much more German language learners.
