Crafts Summative

My finished piece has 8x8 squares around the outside. The squares are colored red, yellow, blue, orange and purple. The theme of this board is kind of a Hawaii theme. There is a volcano in the middle of the board which i would say is mainly the key feature to the board with water around the back and land on the front side with red lava going down the volcano and onto the land. My players are half a body and are red, yellow, blue and green. The dice is all white with black dots representing the number of squares to move up.

Color - There is color literally everywhere on my board. In the squares, on the volcano, all around the volcano, on the cards, on the money, my players are colored. The color of the squares are red, yellow, blue, orange and purple. The volcano is brown with red lava coming down it onto the board. There is blue water around the volcano and green land on the front of the board. The 4 players are red, blue, green and yellow and the dice is white with black dots. The cards are red with the front of it in white and the writing in black and the $50 and $100 bills are in red with the writing also in black.

Texture - There is quite a bit of texture throughout my board. The squares are nice and smooth colored in by pencil crayons. The volcano is mainly smooth because of the paper mache making it really smooth but the brown paint making it a little rough. My players are smooth on the bottom but also kind of rough around the body and at the top and the dce is very smooth on all 6 sides. My cards well obviously feel like paper because they are paper and he paint around the volcano is kind of smooth but kind of rough at the same time.

Space - On the board right away i tried filling up as much space as i could even with just color. I started off with filling the outside of the board with boxes for the players to go around in, I then colored them taking up the space of outside the board. Then I was thinking of a big piece to put in the middle of the board and i thought of the Hawaii theme so why not a volcano! so that takes up quite a bit of space in the middle of it alone and then around it was just all white so i thought of water on one side of the volcano
