Introduction

In current years, internet network has seen momentous growth and it is actually playing a significant role in an individual’s life. Internet network is also obtaining a lot of attention in research. To every individual, internet network became one of the things that are used in their daily lives. Furthermore, People are now connected more to the internet and their online corresponding items are completing a significant role.

Aside from building social connections, internet allow individuals to download multimedia files, collect information or knowledge,  formulate research and share a lot of pieces of their own life and these are reasons to why internet is actually important in life. Because any content in the internet can be simply disclosed to anyone who can access this content, people tend to be more scared of having any content that can be easily disseminated and almost available for everyone.

Users or anyone who participates in the internet are entitled to have the privacy they really crave in their lives and so does others. Because of the great use of internet in the current years, there is a big crime that is actually increasing. Music and movie piracy is one of the crimes that are found to be increasing in a big and a noticeable rate. This crime is said to be a theft for an individual’s intellectual property (Malin & Flowers, 2009).

Piracy Definition

Nowadays, music and movies piracy has become one of the acceptable actions all over the world. This action indicate when someone make copies of music or movies in an illegal manner to avoid paying fees in other words when someone make a copy of a film or a song to use or distribute personally (Malin & Flowers, 2009). Internet networks allow this crime to increase to a big extent and allow those unauthorized files to be used by bloggers, users and others. According to Andersson, Eventorn and Nilsson (2012) internet piracy is one of the strategies or tool that is considered as an obstacle to give a negative effect on business and how a company or an organization goes, it is like a negative force it is said. As new technologies appear, the internet networks have helped in increasing the number of users or people who use the internet networks and allowing the attitudes in relation to the internet piracy concept (Andersson, Eventorn, & Nilsson, 2012).

Many Years ago the music and movie industry did actually face a huge issue which is the downloading issue because of the peer to peer networks that did appear. Downloading is definitely responsible for both decline in the movie theatres and the CD sales (Dilmperi, 2009).According to Dilmperi (2009) stated that Boorstin (2004) helps in declining the CD sales while Oberholzer and Strumpf (2007) stated that CD sales have nothing to do with digitalization. The industry of music was the first industry that faced the issue of internet piracy or the results of the digitalization that declined the sales in a scary manner.
