Life vs. Death
My dad and I were traveling roughly around 780 miles down to Lebdon, MI. It was approximately a 13 hour drive, but in return I received the most rewarding thing a boy could earn. Rizzo would teach me how much he meant to me in two life or death situations.
When my dad and I arrived at the house in Lebdon, MI it was defiantly a house in the sticks. (What a Minnesotan would think looking at this house.) It had siding falling off, windows from 1910, sidewalk had shrubs growing out of it, and horrible smell around that smelt like cow shit.
As I got inside the smell didn't go away and I was directed to the back room. There was Rizzo with all of his other brothers and sisters. I know it was him because I had done research over the internet of exactly which one I wanted. However, I was quite upset because Rizzo had characteristic that was not in the pictures over the internet. The owner had told me that Rizzo got into a fight with one of the other siblings. Also, I was told by the current owner of Rizzo to take him or leave him. He was already in my arms and licking my face.
My decision was to keep Rizzo. He was the best companion a boy could ask for! Rizzo was a 10 pound Jack Russell Terror. He was mostly white with a patch of black

over his eye. Also, he had a ripped ear, but I like to think it gave him character, which ultimately made me upset at first.
I received Rizzo when I was 16 years old and like to consider myself still a boy at this time. He was the most energetic and love able dog anyone could have. After, a week he was already part of the family. However, for one little dog, he sure put me through two unforgettable situations. These situation have impacted my life immensely.
