Many of the World's Children Consume Far Too Much Unhealthy Food. What Are the Causes of This Problem and What Can Be Done to Solve It?

Obesity in children worldwide is a tragedy of the present age. This problem is best explained bythe availability and convenience of fast food restaurants arising at every corner of streets and the extremely busy life-style of parents, but can be alleviated by the regulations on the limited amount of saturated fats containing in foods.
It is difficult to argue with the idea that the rise of fast food stores around the globe has negative impacted children’s health. As a result of the emergence of fast foods chains, students at all ages rushed to fast food stores located just a few blocks away from their schools, enjoying tasty foods which are rich in cholesterol and saturated fats without their knowing. In this manner, students can fulfil their stomachs quickly to catch up extra classes in the evening. It is for that reason children consume these unhealthy foods so as to save time for studying and playing with friends instead of either traveling between home and school to eat a proper meal or being an early bird to pack up a lunch box in the morning.
Parents who are always overwhelmed with workload are also culprits for the situation of peril facing many children’s bad eating habits. Although a generation ago women stayed at home to bear children and prepared healthy meals for the whole family, the forces of the movements rooting for the gender equality have opened more opportunity for women to pursue their work. The reality of the situation is that both mother and father are busy to earn a living from day to night, while their children have to eat out since no one at home has time to cook a fresh meal. Just as all family members have their own hectic schedules, so too do they let their children have a quick breakfast at McDonald’s and a fattening dinner at Burger King.
