My Book Review the Mindset Psychology of success:
Well the point I would like to begin with is that without any doubt I can call this book as the one of the most motivational book among my book collections I have ever observed, well I will try to give in this writing assignment the reasons or have to say my personal perspectives that I could get from this book.
First of all, I have to say that before reading this book not only me but others could guess what is meaning of Mindset which we should know that is of course had written by author Carol Dweck. Well Mindset the word itself I can guess that could give meaning like focusing, concentrating, anything from my point of view an accurate stuff, which is to say you know what to do anything you wish, with no doubt or can say, you are able to represent specific opinions or acts that would bring you achievement successfully each time by doing that technique which we call Mindset..
All right by reading a book we can analyze that author of the Book Carol Dweck in her book divides our mentalities in two different mindsets. It is said that for example there are people born with some certain talents that they could be successful I mean like if they are not good enough in some activity or any task, then it means, they cannot perform that, it is nothing special, they cannot change, they are not changeable. So it is called by author as a Fixed mindset which focuses on ability as an unchanging that it.
However on the other hand another type people who are called by Carol Dweck are Growth mindset. Who are the people see things differently, a very active ones. Yeah I have to mention that, it says they would be shy less people who do not afraid from challenges they like them. Yeah why not, I think this this is a very perfect character for today’s time. Those people if they fail, it is not a big deal for them it is chance for them to excel. They believe failure cannot stop their ability to keep work on again over anything, they think it is just lack of knowledge or a gap in their knowledge or skills and of course they believe that they could fill those gaps. Well in her Book Dweck certainly tries to represent that people who believe in change and in personal growth are most likely to achieve in any given field because they do not take that failure personally a lot maybe I can say at all.it is kind of lesson I understood like if I get lower grade from my Organizational Behavior class then this is also type of opportunity to understand for myself my weakness on this subject and improve my deficiencies. And there is also important thing that reality is about our framework, about how we approach our life circumstances.it says like when you believe you can change and improve, you don’t take failure personally. You do not avoid performing anything that could cause failure or can say challenge your self-image. In addition to this Author also tried to put attention to parents or teachers of young generation by saying like they are the people who reinforce by ability, rather than effort. It is like children who are told that they are smart or talented athletes would develop fixed mindset. Which means those kids when they face anything challenging they fall to pieces, kids who are told they are smart are more likely to cheat or lie on their test scores. Athletes judged by talent also could be one example who less likely to achieve or full enjoy themselves rather than compared to those who think or support effort and improvement as valuable thing. What we can understand when we call the word success , success when you focus on effort and growth it can just creativity anything academics, business, relationships, even sports ,we can observe it in all those above. Mindset I can say as my alarm clock which everyday wakes me up due to my purpose, example to go to my important lecture like this class (Organizational behavior), now it kind of helps to think a failure is just a matter. Of course I do not mean there is no way without failure to achievement, it sure that each of us should avoid this fails but whatever we have to be ready and prepared to answer, also here I can add that if one who never seen failure even once, might not easily overcome with several challenges again which can beat them hard that’s why sometimes it is normal to face such failure cases. I made sure that If I believe and spent effort on chasing that improvements I will have greater determinant of success than any other factors. Well as each student in this assignment give their own opinion I am more likely to understand this book highlight a lot about those 2 personalities and tried to give more examples based on them, Fixed and Growth mindset
