My story goes something like this, back on March 24, 2002 my beautiful wife Robin went into to labor with our second set of twin boys. The story behind the story is that was our oldest set of twins fourth birthday. You want to talk about a stage of mass confusion and chaos, but I will get to that a little bit later. Why is it that my wife is never wrong,
I guess this story really began back in the fall of 1993, when I met my amazing bride to be. I knew right away that she was the one. In the first 2 years we never spent a night apart from each other. We got engaged on, Valentine’s day of the following year, and we got married in June of 1995. Through all the times, no matter if it was an argument or disagreement or even just a normal conversation she seemed never to be wrong, nothing pissed me off more. Time after time it seemed like I was never right and even if I was on the right track, she was still not wrong.
So getting back to the story I would like to tell, we found out through an ultrasound eight weeks in to the pregnancy that she was going to be having twins. She told me on the way to the appointment that she believed that it was going to be twins, and again for the thousandth time told her “she was crazy”. She was once again was right, this was starting to get old with me. As they are doing the ultrasound and confirmed that there were at least two babies they kept searching despite my asking them to stop before I had a heart attack. On the way out of the doctor’s office with my tail between my legs, I had to say” you were right honey.”
On her second pregnancy, about two years later, she again told me it was going to be twins, I laughed in her face saying the odds of that happening are out of this world. As were talking with the doctor he said there is a good chance of a multiple birth again. I said to the doctor are you F**** kidding me? He said that once a woman’s body adapts to a multiple birth, the percentage goes up almost 35% of having a multiple birth. So again after the ultra sound with my tail between my legs, I said “you are right again honey”. Unfortunately she had a miscarriage in the third month of her pregnancy.
Two years after that, we are on our third pregnancy, again the familiar conversation, my wife said “I think I’m having twins”, this time I did not say a word, but inside I was saying” no way I got you this time”. Into the doctor’s office we went and we got an ultra sound. We find out yes, twins once more. The due date was May of 2002. As we were walking to our car, she had that look. Yes, that look, right again, I hate that look.
