Nanking Massacre——an Example of Immoral Politics
In my opinion, moral and politics are inseparable. Moral is the criterion and standard of people’s behavior. Politics is the process of making decisions applying to all members of each group. If political misconduct, the social will lose peace, the country will unrest. Also, it will cause interpersonal tensions. The relationship between politics and moral is epistemological basis of political ethics framework.
Let’s separate moral into system moral and personal moral. The system moral is according to the various social system, it sets up and reflects the standard and principle.System moral on political culture, social culture has a decisive basis function, thus affecting the quality of citizens, personality, temperament, will affect the whole social morality and habits. The personal moral influences the behavior and principle of people.
The Nanking Massacre is an example of immoral politics. After the Marco Polo Bridge Incident on July,7,1937,the National Revolutionary No.29 Army fought with Japanese Army, and Japanese Army won in this battle. The full scale invasion of China in the Second Sino-Japanese War began. Because of the mismanagement of China's Military, the Japanese Army occupied Nanjing easily,and they started the Nanjing Massacre for 6 weeks on December,13,1937. Based on the history textbook I have learnt in China, I knew that Nanjing was the capital city,it has the main military strength and economy in China at that time. At the same time, the Japanese want to expand territory, to obtain more resources to support national.
