Obesity – Causes and Effects
This is an essay about a very common health problem that is facing many countries around the world, obesity. This problem is causing many illnesses such as diabetes, heart attack and blood pressure. In this essay, I will discuss the causes and effects of obesity.
With modern life spreading around big cities and new lifestyle emerging with the new generation, thousands and thousands of fast food restaurants are found everywhere. Examples of the widespread availability of fast food restaurants are Mcdonald's, Burger King, Hardees and they can be found all around the world. People nowadays eat unhealthy food such as fast food and junk food. People become fat and obese when they have such a habit of eating that kind of food every day. Nowadays, it is not uncommon to see young children who are obese. Several recent studies have reported on the alarming statistics of obesity around the world. Also, doing less exercises and using cars all the time will cause obesity.
Obesity is considered one of the major health problems that are facing young children as well as adults. When someone is obese, they will be unable to practice many sports easily. They will have breathing problems and exhaustion. They will also be susceptible to heart diseases and diabetes.
The best way to solve the problem of obesity is to try and eat healthy and fresh food such as vegetables and fruit. Additionally, people should be encouraged to practice sports and exercise more. In my opinion, young people at school should be educated and made aware of these issues.
