Princess Diana’s Death
Princess Diana was one of the most famous princess’ there has ever been. Why? She was non-traditional. Diana did not obey the royal laws. She is the princess that changed the views of “royal families”.
BBC Networks was one of the first networks to announce Princess Diana’s death. The speaker was a news anchor that works for BBC Networks. The audience was people around the world that were tuned in to BBC. The subject of this announcement was Diana’s death. The effectiveness of this was probably a seven out of ten. This broadcast appeals to logos and pathos. BBC is a trusted network so people are going to believe everything they say which logos is. Ethos is shown because people are going to be upset/astounded.
Queen Elizabeth also had a public announcement for Diana’s death. The speaker of this was Queen Elizabeth, obviously. She spoke on television a week after Diana’s death. The audience of her announcement was friends, family, and people around the world. The subject of her announcement was telling about how she felt and the impact Diana had left. The Queen’s speech was a nine out of ten. It was effective because she is the Queen and she shows her emotion. She tells the world about how Diana impacted the royal families.
Diana’s brother Spencer spoke at Diana’s funeral. The audience of his eulogy was people attending the funeral and people watching it on television. The subject of his speaking was to remind everybody of the good things Diana did. The effectiveness of this was a ten out of ten. He got in everybody’s head and heart. Spencer was able to remind people of all the good Diana had in her life.
