Introduction:
A project is a temporary endeavour, having a defined beginning and undertaken to meet unique goals and objectives Project management involves initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling. In other words Project management is the art and science of sequencing and stringing all these activities together into a coherent whole to ensure that the final delivery meets the desired specification. It can be said as juggling three balls at a time. It involves maintaining a fine balance between delivering on time, within budget while ensuring quality.

Initiation Step
The initiation processes determine the nature and scope of the project. If this stage is not performed well, it is unlikely that the project will be successful in meeting the business' needs. The key project controls needed here are an understanding of the business environment and making sure that all necessary controls are incorporated into the project. The steps involves

• Defining the Project

• Level Setting the Project Expectations
• Developing the Statement of Work,

The Planning Step
The project is planned to an appropriate level of detail. The main purpose is to plan time, cost and resources adequately to estimate the work needed and to effectively manage risk during project execution .The steps involves

• Publish Project Activities Required to Complete the Project
• Develop Project Schedule
• Coordinate the Project Budget
• Revisit Project Scope and Statement of Work and make Adjustments
• Gather Stakeholder Approval
The Execution Step
Execution step consists of the processes used to complete the work defined in the project management plan to accomplish the project's requirements. Execution process involves coordinating people and resources, as well as integrating and performing the activities of the project in accordance with the project management plan. The steps involves
