A girl stands tall. Her eyes filled with anger. She stands on stage looking at the audience her toes at the very edge. Light shines on her overhead, obscuring her features.
Adrienne: You must be kidding me. I didn’t not terrorize Sophia whatsoever. I cannot tolerate your accusations Braidie. You were there as well, I wasn’t the only one who did something. You and I both know what you did to.
“We” all decided to to pl-play penalty that day. I was the first to be targeted remember? Don’t pretend not. I took the penalty and didn’t talk about it. You all had fun that day didn’t you, especially you braidie and Sophia. So what this accusations you are making and telling people that I did? Acting as if you were not involved and were just an innocent bystander? You make me want to laugh. Stop bringing your mother into this cause we know that you were there and played the game.
Adrienne sits on the steps, alone, under the street light. The stage is still bare. She begins smoking, the smoke she breathes out slowly start to fade. She talks to no one in particular.
Adrienne: I can’t believe what Braidie is saying. After being friend for so long, thi-this is what she does. After everything I have done for her, she accuses of me being a bullying. Me, Adrienne! Why would I want to do that? I am just a normal teenage girl that has friend and family. I work hard at school, do my homework, and have a job after school. I mean to be honest I am someone that enjoy kidding with people, I mean I tease people but in a fun way, in a sarcastic way. Is there a problem with that fact that I like to tease Sophia just a little more than others? Does that make me evil? Braidie is a hypocrite, acting all innocent while she was there with us and playing. When addressed Sophia as “it” she did too. I don’t understand why she is acting like this now.
