As a youth, you are the hope of the next generation. Our country experience many devastating flash flood, mudslide and landslide. The public blame it on the logging and mining industry. The legal industries blame it on illegal industries; everybody pointing fingers to one another.
Body (put substance of what you want to tell them: to persuade or inform)
There is a great debate between environmentalist and economists all over the world. Here in the Philippines the Filipino environmentalists are against mining and logging, they said that how many more lives that will be wasted before we realize that our nature is more important that economic growth. On the other hand economists says logging, mining, building infrastructures and factories is all part of economics development. They say that if we want our economy to strengthened we must explore our natural resources. The two groups have point. We need both healthy economy and nature to support our daily needs.
To produce papers we need to cuts trees. To produce electronic parts we need to mine. How true isn't? Papers, wooden board, gold, aluminum and many more is part of our needs and they say it's necessity. Necessity! What is necessity? According to Merriam Webster necessity is something that you must have or do: something that is necessary. But, what is necessary? Our people in the province do logging and mining for few pesos. They are willing to gambles their life and their family's life, for what? The head of the miners and loggers is on the line they mine and logged to support the demands of the market, to support the needs and wants of the people. Those who have money can buy jewelry and expensive furniture; they decorate their houses with beautiful wooden furniture and they decorate themselves with much gold as possible. It is a need or a want?
