Introduction
In 2010, United Airlines and Continental Airlines announced their intention to merge their operations in a USD 3 billion deal to form the world's largest airline which will be kept the United name. The merged combination of the two airlines will account for 40 percent of the U.S. passenger traffic across the Atlantic and 53 percent of all traffic on Pacific routes. The two chief executives of United and Continental Airlines claim that the combined carrier should benefit from savings of at least USD 1 billion a year and from substantial extra revenues once operational integration is completed in 2013 (Scenario).
Lionsgate is a global entertainment corporation with a leading presence in motion picture production and distribution, television programming and syndication, home entertainment, family entertainment, digital distribution and new channel platforms. Lionsgate was established in 1997. During the past 10 years, Lionsgate has grown into a leading filmed entertainment studio. Lionsgate now manages one of the most prestigious libraries in the entertainment industry with nearly 13,000 titles.
Organizational structure – organizational Culture
United Airlines and Lionsgate Entertainment operate in different fields. So, two organizations will be run on different ways. It is easy to understand why they have many differences and similarities in their own organizational culture as well as organizational culture.

A company wants to be successful on their operating field they have to set organizational structure to work effectively.
