Ward of Globalization

Good morning everyone! Have you ever heard a ward of globalization? Globalization is a process of interaction or integration of the worldwide economy, culture or politics. Nowadays, some people argue that the globalization will brings a strong impact of the traditional lifestyle, value and beliefs. They worry that the original local culture or their way of life will be weakened, whereas the foreign cultures become the mainstream in societies. As a result, all cultures become increasingly homogeneous. Today, I will use some countries past experience as the examples to give advice to the individual countries, so that they can preserve their traditions and way of life during the globalization.
To begin with, I would like to share the past experience of china. In china, the Hakka people are aware of the fact that the Hakka language is on the verge of extinction. The reason is that Hakka cannot keep pace with the main trend. In order to deal with this problem, the China government have decided to hold some Hakka festival, to teach the Hakka histories and language to the children, and provide a day for people to exchange their culture with each other, so that they can attract the children to pass down their traditional cultural and language. I think it is an attractive method to enhance the audience awareness of the distinct traditions.
Beyond the educational way, what we can do is to integrate the worldwide culture in our daily life. For example, some people in Hong Kong re-create the popular Korean song “Gangnam Style” to a Cantonese version to express their angry feeling of the Chinese people in the internet. You can see that the local people are using elements of foreign cultures to enroll in their daily life. The famous movie “Slumdog Millionaire”, is also a good example of the cultural integration. The content is about India but the creating team is from the West.
