Women Circumcision, Does it really Worth the Pain and Suffering?

Imagine you or your mother, your sister, your daughter or your wife; growing up as a little reaching the stage that your body starts to mature and to your greatest surprise you are confronted with the practice of female circumcision, that which is going to have a great impact on your life and your body for as long as you live. You have to deal with this physically and emotionally. One beautiful morning you wake up with no question asked, instead, you’re send strange place to this lady you have never met before for her to circumcise you; you knowing this lady have no professional license but she’s ready to cut your private with razor blade. You find yourself going through the greatest pain you have ever felt all of your live.

Female circumcision is a very cruel and unjust traditional that is going on around the world, which is very popular in Africa and the Middle East. It has no positive benefit but disease, sexual confusion and even death is more common. It is growing epidemic and must be put stopped. This surgery can even cause tremendous amount of pain during childbirth for those women who have done it. Even though these women think it’s perfectly fine and there’s nothing wrong with it; nevertheless we all as human know and believe it’s not right, they are just brain washed. It’s a violation of the human rights and it must be stopped. In doing this we must all start in our own little ways, by spreading the word by informing and educating the world of this practice. This paper is going to talk about the history of female circumcision, the reason why I personally believed it is wrong, The reason other women who practice it believe it is not wrong, the parts of the world it is being done. Who is at risk, the cultural, religious and social causes? Moreover, how does the world view this practice?

Female circumcision is a traditional practice that is more popular in the Islamic community in Africa and the Middle East; it is cutting off the clitoris and sometimes the labia of girls or young women.
