Effects of Terrorism
Terrorism has become a global epidemic for communist and non communist countries. This paper will discuss what terrorism is and what effects it has on the American society. Terrorism is defined by Merriam-Webster Dictionary as systematic use of violence to create a general climate of fear in a population and thereby to bring about a particular political objective. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation there is no single, university accepted definition of terrorism, terrorism is defined in the code Federal Regulations as Retrieved from (www.fbi.gov › Stats & Services) Reports and Publications “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives” (28 C.F.R. I feel if the United States does not get involved when Sadam Hussein invaded Kuwait, he would have taking a page out of Adolf Hitler’s book of trying to conquer the world. Without the United States stepping in to repel the invasion of Kuwait from Sadam Hussein, he would have controlled a valuable global resource that the world relies on heavily which is oil. Controlling a prized resource such as oil would have placed Sadam in a position where he was able to demand other world leaders to be at his mercy. I feel the United States has both a moral and practical reason for getting involved in the fight against terrorism. There are countries that do
