Forms of Government

There are different types of government and each of them have their advantages and disadvantages to both the people in the legislature and the ones living within that government.

The first to take a look at is one of the oldest forms of government which is the Monarchy, this form of government is held by a single ruler, usually it is inherited passed down through the family. Next is a dictatorship this form of government is also held by one ruler, but this person has control and power over everyone and everything. Single-party is when only one political party is allowed to govern. The last one that I will cover is a two-party government where there are to political parties that dominate the political field but there is still a single Head of State.

In a monarchy, decisions are usually carried out by the ruler there is no vote, just by the word of the monarch alone. Due to the clear line of succession there is no vote to bring anyone in the next person to rule the monarch. Having a clear understanding of how the monarch works with the people the can create a sense of loyalty among the people and create a sense of trust for the monarchy. Like the monarchy in a dictatorship there is only one form of leadership, but the difference is the person in control in a dictatorship they complete control of the military and police. This could be seen as a negative situation for the people of the country looking at it as an advantage by one person having complete control of the military and police with could maintain peace and order. It may sound similar to monarchy or dictatorship but there is a big difference in a single-party government it is one political party which is several people in this party working together to pass laws.
