Johnson Case

The time period from 1960 to 1970 was essentially a quagmire, this period was inevitably categorized by rampant problems with wars that damaged the people's undying loyalty towards their government and civil rights movements and transformations which convulsed the nation. Initially through Johnson policies he created medicate and Medicare while reforming the educational system, through Johnson policies he created the fair deal in which he hoped to push the great society to benefit all Americans. Through Johnson's policies he tried to end much wide spread discrimination and issued the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act in 1964 and 1965. Many of his policies and actions had detrimental effect on the United States economy such as increasing the national debt and prolonging a costly war. His much anticipated enthusiasm for the Vietnam War was not shared with the u.s citizens as it brought about distrust amongst the people and the governments and as many thought this war would not be over due to television broadcasting.

On November 22, 1963 john f. Kennedy was assassinated which left Lyndon Johnson to feel the vacant seat of presidency, upon receiving that seat he received the heavy burden of the Vietnam War which many presidents left untouched and the nations trouble of foreign policy. Through Johnson's political, civil, and economic policies, were not effectively carried executed and these combined with other issues led to his opprobrious end.

President Lyndon Johnson failure overseas and mainly the Vietnam War was seen as Americas blunder as he was unable to efficiently deal with the Vietnam War and cope with the politics of the 1960s.
