INTRODUCTION
1. GAIN ATTENTION customs, courtesies, and honors play a very important role in how the marine corps is viewed and how we go about our day to day lives.these customs, courtesies, and honors have been around and have changed wether it be uniform regulations to the rank structure but most of these traditions i like to say are still with use today.
2. OVERVIEW Good morning/afternoon class, my name is PFC WhiteDold. The purpose of this period of instruction is to inform you on observing military customs, courtesies, and honors

a. TERMINAL LEARNING OBJECTIVE With the aid of references, observe military customs, courtesies, and honors
b. ENABLING LEARNING OBJECTIVES
(1)Without the aid of reference, identify the marine corps ranks, grades, and rankes insiginas along with colors, standards, and guidons.
(2)Without the aid of reference, identify when to render a salute to an comissioned officer or honors to dignitaries and the marines hymn
(3)Without the aid of reference,identify the courtesies of boarding and disemarking a ship along wtih entering or exiting a vehicle.
(4)Without the aid of reference,identify the traditions of the marine corps ball.

4. METHOD/MEDIA This period of instruction will be taught using the informal lecture method. I will be aided with the help of my class outline.
