Alcohol and Family Violence
According to (Films Media Group, 2009). In the United States alone, alcohol abuse causes 100,000 deaths every year. Half of all homicides, suicides, and accidental deaths involve alcohol use. 65 out of every 100 of us will be in an alcohol related car crash during our lifetimes. Last year 24,000 Americans died in crashes involving alcohol. It also stated that the number one killer of 15 to 29 year olds is alcohol related automobile accidents. Most spouse abuse and child abuse involves drinking within the violence. There are a million and a half more alcoholics now than there were in 1980, 21 million Americans are alcoholics or problem drinkers and three millions of those are under the age of 18 (Films Media Group, 2009).

I feel that alcohol cause problems not only to the user/drinkers but also to their spouse, children and other family members. As a drinker they fail to keep up with their responsibility with supporting their family. A child may force to take on the adult roles and the parents responsibilities. Domestic violence and alcohol are often associated. Drinking is not necessary for domestic violence to occur. After all, many abuses are either alcoholics or under the influence of alcohol at the time of the abuse.

Alcohol has been consisting in the world, it’s a disease and it’s something that need to be recognized in the world and need to be treated as soon as possible. There are prand family. Drinking often turn into violence where your problems become to brave for you to handle to you take your angry out on your kids or spouse or they often neglect their family from the cause of drinking. Alcohol can lead a marriage into divorce or separation. Suffering from alcoholism is disease and the best way to cure that disease is to get help. People who drink is not just hurting themselves but you hurt the ones around you because they tend to believe it their fault that you drink because of the environment.
