Since there are many different types of cultures of people in a business, it is important to know how to communicate and maintain effectiveness. Businesses have a wide range of different styles and personalities. Businesses can also influence how decisions are made and on how employees work with each other. Employees communicate everyday by e-mail, phone, in meetings, by text message or face to face. Employees can spend most of their day communicating with other associates, which is why good communication skills are essential in any workplace. Understanding my ideal work culture helps me focus on my weaknesses and strengths in communication. Fairness is one of my strong points because it’s important that all employees get equal opportunities. Knowing your communication skills will allow you to better understand the proper ways to communicate with others you work with. There will always be employees that may not be as passionate about equality and justice in the business. Knowing my skills will allow me speak on the behalf of others who are not so strong in that area. The career plan results shows that I am strong about stable and secure work environment and that I am management ready. I want to contribute to society and make a positive impact on everyday lives. All in all knowing these things shows me that I am very steady in what I would want in a job and that my communication skills are decent compared to what I see in everyday live even outside of the workplace.
