Crimes Theory
The causation of crime plays a major role in determining the reasoning behind criminal actions. When comparing and contrasting the several possibilities of crime it gives a general overview of why and how crimes are committed.

Upon reviewing, the different suspected causes of crime; two in particular caught my attention. First example would be the choice theory known as the Sociological Conflict theory. In this case, crime links to poverty, and crime. Researchers have found that when an area suffers from poverty and crime tend to separate themselves from the small fraction of good, hardworking individuals to resort to a life of crime as a means to survival.
Individuals that live this lifestyle tend to pave a vicious road for those who are in their adolescents to follow this path as a way of living. It develops into a cycle that is almost impossible to break.
The second theory known as the Trait Theory relates to people's actions, which traces back to early childhood, and that these traits may not come out and hidden in the mind in which may come out at any given time.
One crime trend noticeable is the crime trend among certain classes of people and this relates to the Social Conflict Theory, it tells how there is a direct link between low-income communities and the possibilities of crime. The percentage of inmates for example, in prison that comes from a low-income neighborhood is high. Some people believe that it is a learned behavior picked up from family members and friends.
The Social Conflict Theory also states that if people label them as a delinquent or criminal they are more apt to live up to that name. Then once the person acts in a criminal behavioral way, they can become “hardened” criminals and then it is usually hard not to think that they will not commit to any future criminal activities.
Choosing a crime trend in the article that seemed interesting was the article on drugs and alcohol violations have raised in our township by 20 percent within this year 2010 and last year 2009 compared to thief and Larceny figures but not by much with a total of 14 versus
