Free People Campaign Speech
Good morning students and citizens of the United States. I welcome you here today with an open arms and more importantly an open mind. Not only do I wish to explain my ideals for this country, but I hope to hear some of the issues that are important to you as well. At the end of my speech I encourage you to voice your opinions and concerns.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness.” These words are what our country is based upon, but unfortunately, I believe we have lost sight of this value. Throughout history we have forgotten these words and the meaning behind them. In my presidency I hope to return to this fundamental ideology, that all people are created equal. Today I want to focus on the main goal of the Free People Party, giving basic freedoms back to the public. The freedom of choice regarding personal, private, and individual rights is one we find to be established in the constitution- our unalienable rights. As president I promise to instill laws that will ultimately provide each citizen with the capability to make choices regarding the treatment of their bodies as well as decisions regarding marriage among many others. Both of these issues provoke religious arguments, but I strongly believe in the separation between church and state and I plan to enforce it to the best of my ability.
As president I will ensure that all birth control, including abortion remains legal and becomes legal for the 40 states in which it is prohibited. To deny a woman the right to control her body, future, and child’s future is unfathomable and I will make sure that options for women are always available. Not only will abortion be legalized, but it will be covered under my health care plan. I understand and respect the concerns
