Why should these professional athletes make so much money when all they do is play a game for a living? They get make millions of dollars a year to walk on a field, and if they do well they get paid even more. Its sad how many professional athletes make.
First off when a football player steps on the field they will make a minimum of $20,000 a year. Plus if they play, and get a good catch, run, pass, or block they will be making money in the millions. For instance Terrell Owens makes around two million dollars a year, to go and catch a ball. When he makes it to a bonus point in his contract, he will make another quarter of a million dollars. That is way too much, if we used the professional athletes money we would be able to pay off our countries debt.
Even though the NFL has a salary cap the money they make is just outrageous and pathetic, but with the MLB and NBA, there is no salary cap. The NBA and the MLB get paid double the amount the NFL players do. That's ridiculous, they play a game for a living.
The really sad fact is that the President of the United States of America makes less that these rich, uptight, muscle bound, commiliberal, tofu fating, idiots. They are being pumped full of protein and energy shots, that costs a lots of money in the short and long run. Most professioinal athletes could give up half their paychecks and live an extravagant life. Plus give the other to charities so they finally help the world.
In conclusion professional athletes make way too much money to play a game for a living. Also they become millionaires in only a couple years of playing a sport. They need to sit down and think about what they should do with their extra money. "It's a game for god's sake."
