Dear Mr. Kurt Vonnegut:
I would like to express that your novel is an awful novel and a was very weird as it has aliens involved when the narrator was talking about his imprisonment and the bombing of the German city of Dresden. As I was reading the novel I was captivated with the bombing of Dresden. I honestly had no idea how bad the bombing of Dresden was until I read your novel. The reading was not as easy I originally expected. When I was reading, I was sometimes confused on what was going on because the ideas were all over the place and it was kind of hard to switch from Dresden to being kidnapped by aliens from the planet Tralfamadore. After finishing the novel, I was thinking on what I just read and the question that kept coming to my head was, “what did I just read?” Although it was a far different read from the other books I usually read, it was a very confusing experience and it was something different that I cannot identify.
As I read your novel, I observed how the main character’s, Billy Pilgrim, life is given to us in small fragments and all over the place. This is one of the main factors that honestly confused me the most. When I was reading I was confused how it switched from Billy’s life to the bombing of Dresden and all of a sudden the kidnapping of him by aliens. When the novel shifted from the alien planet, to his family, and then the German imprisonment, it really was confusing to follow. I was interested when he was in the alien zoo.
